Cat Cravings Around the Web

Good morning Cat Cravers, and welcome to another edition of “Cat Cravings around the web!” I hope everyone’s Fourth of July was a memorable one — mine certainly was.

Let’s take a look at what’s made news for the Carolina Panthers and around the NFL.

The biggest question last week: Will general manager Marty Hurney have a job in Carolina after Thursday?

The answer.

Back to the Steve Smith story, which has been around the block a few times, now. This time, there’s some defense offered in Smith’s favor, if for no other reason than a feeble attempt to soften the blow which the media has scrutinized Smith.

Former Panthers safety Mike Minter, still wants to become the head coach of the UNC-Charlotte 49ers football program.

Head coaches from the NFL are doing a USO Tour. They include Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid, Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis, Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress, and our own — Panthers coach John Fox.

It turns out, that while touring military bases, the plane which the four coaches were in, struck a bird. Andy Reid was in the cockpit.

Former Carolina Panther and now free agent defensive tackle Hollis Thomas has been suspended for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.

If an injury is suffered on the defensive line, let’s hope it’s not until after Thomas’ eight-game suspension is up.

Last but not least, Jonathan Stewart has a new vid up on Youtube, for his upcoming football camp in Oregon.

One more thing, before I forget. This week’s episode of Cat Crave Radio, will feature special guest and Panthers’ running back DeAngelo Williams. You don’t want to miss this one.

Have a great Monday!
