State of the NFC South, Week One

facebooktwitterreddit

Well good news Panther fans Carolina is still in first place. It was a rough week for the NFC South as every single team lost. Some games were very close and great games to watch like the Panthers vs. Cardinals game and the Saints and Green Bay. But the other two, not so much. Atlanta got blown out by the Chicago Bears and the Bucs made it interesting late, but really got dominated on both sides of the ball against the Detroit Lions.

So here is how it looks as of right now:

Atlanta 0-1

Carolina 0-1

New Orleans 0-1

Tampa Bay 0-1

But this should change a lot next week. Not trying to be the bearer of bad news but the Panthers will more than likely be in last place after this week. The Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers are coming to town and they look pretty good this year.

But it isn’t like the every other team has an easy game in week two. The Saints play Chicago, the Falcons play the Eagles and the Bucs play Minnesota. None of these games are cake walks but no way the Saints start out 0-2 on the season. They will take down the Bears and I believe the Falcons will bounce back from a disaster of a season opener and give there former franchise player Michael Vick his first loss of the season.

Should be another great week. It’s great to have football back.
