Joe Person at The Charlotte Observer has a great read about one of Cam’s new weapons, Jericho Cotchery.  Carolina Panthers’ Jericho Cotchery found strength in tragedy.

"“We’ll do whatever we can to help this group get better,” Cotchery said. “But at the same time, we were brought here to make plays.”"

The dog days of summer don’t yield a lot of groundbreaking stories, so rumors start flying around the league.  One rumor for Panther fans was stifled on Sunday amidst whispers that third-round OG Trai Turner had been inked to a deal.  Not so fast says our friend Mike Florio over at Profootballtalk.com.

"“With the bulk of this year’s draft picks already under contract, there’s not much in the way of news when it comes to rattling off the various guys who have signed off on their rookie deals.”"

Over at Bleacher Report, featured Panthers’ columnist Charles Edwards breaks down the quarterback depth chart in Carolina.

"“When fans think about the Carolina Panthers and their quarterback situation, the consensus is virtually the same: The team has a young and talented starter who continues to grow and has a capable veteran backup standing on the sideline if something were to happen.”"

Kelvin Benjamin already looks like a dominating receiver in his new black-on-black Panthers uni.  This past weekend, all the rookies were in Los Angeles for photo shoots, and KB13 is already making me want to hit the fast-forward button to September.
