Dan Morgan Set to Visit the Saints
By John White
The Carolina Panthers released Dan Morgan last week due to salary and injuries. The move cleared up cap room but may have set up a potential faceoff twice every season.
According to ESPN’s John Clayton, Morgan is headed to the Bayou to visit with the New Orleans Saints. He won’t be the first unemployed linebacker to visit with the Saints – Zach Thomas, a former Dolphin, is meeting with them today.
That makes it pretty clear that the Saints are interested in a veteran linebacker to add to a weak unit. Morgan could fit the bill provided the money is right due to his lengthy injury history.
We’ll keep you posted.
