Another Big Name On the Trading Block?
By John White
According to Adam Schefter of the NFL Network, the Detroit Lions are shopping defensive tackle, Shaun Rogers. In fact, Schefter states that a deal could be comsummated within the next week. However, no trades can be executed until the start of the free agency period which officially opens one week from today. (February 29th)
"Schefter says at least four teams have shown strong interest in Rogers, whose skill set compares favorably to both Glenn Dorsey and Sedrick Ellis. Rogers has his ups and downs, but most premier interior linemen do. The Lions should be able to get at least a second-round pick for the 28-year-old."
