The meat market that is the NFL Scouting Combine continues in Indianapolis with draft elligible players attempting to impress NFL scouts.  Here are just a few of the interesting tidbits being reported.

Dustin Keller, a tight end from Purdue, ran a 4.53 in the 40, fastest among players at the position.  Keller also posted a 38″ vertical.  He measure in at 6’2″, 242.

Kentucky quarterback, Andre Woodson, will not be running the 40 at the Combine due to a hamstring injury.

Like DeSean Jackson, Felix Jones, Darren McFadden’s backfield mate in Arkansas, came up a little short in his measurements.  Listed in college at 6’0″, 207 but came in at 5’10”, 207 at teh Combine.

Miami defensive end, Calais Campbell, did anything but come up short as his 6’8″, 290 exceeded his collegiate listing.

One high-profile player, tight end Fred Davis of USC, did not run the 40.

The offensive linemen worked out earlier today.  One player that received a lot of buzz on the day was Gosder Cherilus of Boston College.

We’ll continue to monitor the Combine.  Tomorrow is a big day with quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers getting on the field.
