"With only a few hours remaining before he was to become an unrestricted free agent, fullback Brad Hoover reached a contract agreement with the Carolina Panthers.Hoover, the team’s long-standing lead blocker in the running game and a fan favorite, agreed to a new three-year deal Thursday night.“He’s just happy to stay a Panther,” said Hoover’s agent, Tim Irwin."

Kris Jenkins Update

Kris Jenkins has been rumored to be shipped off to the Jets.  However, KJ would rather play in the D.C. area reports the Rock Hill Herald.

"While he’d like to be in Baltimore or Washington, two other East Coast cities appear more likely at this moment. The New York Jets and Miami keep coming up in discussions about Jenkins, and he probably wouldn’t fight a trip to either spot.Keep in mind, the Panthers and Jets have a history of working together. They executed last year’s draft-day trade which got the Jets the CB they needed (Darrelle Revis) and landed the Panthers their MLB (Jon Beason)."
