A Quick Look Ahead
By John White
After all of the games have been played in the NFC South for this week, something has happened that all the “experts” didn’t think could happen – the Carolina Panthers are in first place by a full game over the rest of their competition.
To stay there, they’ll have to beat the Minnesota Vikings when they visit the Hubert H. Humphrey Dome next week.
The Vikings are a team coming off of two tough losses. First, they lost to the Packers in week one by 5 and this week things got really bad. After leading 15-0, they somehow found a way to lose to the suddenly struggling Indianapolis Colts. Their fans are none too happy about it, believe me.
One thing we’ve seen as a traditional problem is winning at home while the Panthers seem to find a way to play better on the road. That plays into their favor. What will be the toughtest part? First, stopping Adrian Peterson and second, dealing with a team that will be wearing a huge chip on their shoulders after a tough loss at home.
We’ll have a complete preview of the game on Cat Crave Radio this Wednesday.
