Panthers Sign DT to the Roster
I suppose it’s a matter of time before we find out the future of Panthers defensive tackle Ma’ake Kemoeatu. Or, this could be the replacement for Hollis Thomas, who was signed to a one-year contract during the 2009 season.
At any rate, ESPN reported on Wednesday that the Panthers signed defensive tackle Ed Johnson. Johnson played for the Indianapolis Colts when Panthers defensive coordinator Ron Meeks was the DC for the Colts.
Johnson does have a shady past with off-field problems since his days at Penn State, but the good news for the Panthers anyway, is the team is deep at the DT position. Johnson was a good run-stopper during his short stint in Indianapolis.
