Wide Receiver Sliding to Panthers
Barring a trade into the first-round, it’s still a long time until the Panthers select at 48 in Friday night’s second-round of the Draft.
Almost halfway through the first-round, and we have seen three consecutive trades; two involving the Denver Broncos, and one with the Chargers and Miami Dolphins.
So far, 14 selections in, a wide receiver has not been selected, and only one quarterback. So far, the first round has mainly been about defense.
If the Panthers trade up into the first-round, they could have their pick at receiver: Dez Bryant, or Golden Tate would be tops for the Panthers right about now.
Of course at this rate, the Panthers might only have to trade up to draft earlier in the second-round.
