Times are a changing
Hello Cat Crave readers, my name is Taylor Barbour and as of earlier today I am taking over as editor of the Cat Crave blog.
Allow me to introduce myself. First off, I am a recent graduate of NC State University, don’t hold it against me Tar Heel or ECU fans, I will do my best to keep my State bias out of any posts, but it may slip through here and there. At State I studied communications media as well as minoring in journalism.
As far as writing experience, I worked as the sports editor at NC State’s school paper, as well as wrote for RepresentACC.com and a few local papers in Raleigh.
Most importantly, I’ve been a diehard Panther fan since Jerry Richardson got the team. My grandfather has had PSL tickets from the start, so I have seen pretty much everything from the lovely Chris Weinke season of 2001 to an unreal Super Bowl run of the Cardiac Cats in 2003.
My hope out of this blog is to create an interactive site where we can get everyone involved. So we are welcoming any comments or suggestions about how to improve the blog, so fill free to fire away now or at anytime during the next few months. I’ve been looking at some of the past posts and a few other sites and I have some pretty big ideas and hopes moving forward.
Right now we are currently searching for some writers to help us create a lot more content, so bare without as we get adjusted with everything but know that we are headed in the right direction and will have a ton of stuff for you to peruse shortly.
But know that we are hoping to make this one of the top FanSided blogs and we are hoping to provide you with some useful, fresh and original content.
With the lockout getting close to ending, we will finally have some things to talk about and from what it sounded according to Mr. Richardson last night, the Panthers will be extremely active once free agency begins which will hopefully equate to a few more wins next season.
So with that, I am done with the formalities and am looking forward to getting the ball rolling here.
Check back either later tonight or tomorrow morning for my first real post highlighting some of the lockout stuff, Jerry Richardson’s influence in it and what is next for the Panthers in the coming weeks.
Cheers,
Taylor Barbour
