-Goodson with a 10 yard run but takes a massive hit by Pittsburgh’s Ryan Mundy. Goodson looks to have hurt his shoulder on the play. Hopefully the injury is not serious.

-Derek Anderson just completed a 13 yard pass to Brandon LaFell. Anderson looks very sharp tonight reminiscent of his career year with the Cleveland Browns.

-The Panther defense just showed great resilience, but Pittsburgh was still able to convert a 52 yard field goal to take a 17-14 lead. 4:44 remains in the half.

-Jordan Pugh just showed excellent coverage on a long pass play attempt by Pittsburgh. I would even expect to see some defensive sets where Godfrey slides to corner and Pugh comes in to play safety.

-Thomas Wilson made a tackle on the 1st down play by Pittsburgh. Wilson has had a solid preseason and is one who is battling for a roster spot.

-PAT is converted, 14-14 tie with 6:56 in the 2nd. The kickoff is returned by Mewelde Moore for 45 yards. CJ Wilson made a touchdown saving tackle.

-Anderson connects with receiver David Clowney for a 41 yard Panther touchdown. Anderson’s throw was right on the money and hit Clowney in stride. Clowney is currently fighting for a roster spot with Charly Martin and Kealoha Pilares.

-Goodson with a nice 37 yard run for a Panther 1st down. It will be interesting to see what the Panthers do with Goodson.

-Goodson downs the kickoff in the endzone, Panthers will start on their own 20.

-Johnathan Dwyer just ran 50 yards for a Pittsburgh touchdown. Dwyer ran past 4 to 5 Panther defenders. Pittsburgh converts the PAT, 14-7 Steelers.

-The Panthers are still struggling to tackle the ball carrier allowing extra yards to be gained after contact. I would expect the team to be active waiver wire watchers over the next couple of days.

-Armanti Edwards drops another pass forcing the Panthers to punt.

-New update on the Kentwan Balmer release: A team source said that Balmer was released due to being out of shape per Steve Reed.

-There is an injury timeout as Panthers OT, Garry Williams in laying on the field. Lee Ziemba rolled on Williams’ knee who is now being carted off the field. Looks as if the Panthers will lose another player for the season due to a torn ligament. The Panthers’ thin offensive-line depth, just got thinner.

-The Panthers bull-doze out of the endzone on back-to-back Fiametta and Josh Vaughn runs. 1st down Panthers.

-Panthers for a Steeler three-and-out, but the punt is muffed by Jamorris Warren who is tackled at the one yard line. The Panthers will start from their own goal line. I’d say that play will end Warren’s career with the Panthers.

-Dennis Dixon is now on the field for the Steelers and shows nice arm strength on a roll-out throw but it is incomplete.

-Panthers fail to convert a 3rd and 4 play with a Goodson run. Panthers nearly converted a 4th down pass play, but Edwards dropped the ball. After one quarter the score stands 7-7.
