NFC South Standings Week Six
Well the Panthers had a chance to pick up there second win of the season last Sunday against the New Orleans Saints but poor game management from Ron Rivera at the end of the first half and a porous defense once again let the Panthers down as the team fell 30-27 to the Saints.
With the win the Saints move to 4-1 on the season while the Panthers fall to the opposite recorded, 1-4. But the Saints were the only team that fared well Sunday afternoon as the Atlanta Falcons lost to the Green Bay Packers 25-14 and lets not even begin to talk about the train wreck that was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they were blown out 48-3 against the 49ers.
But this week two NFC South teams are guaranteed to lose this week as all four teams are playing divisional matchups. The Panthers travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons, while Tampa Bay gets New Orleans at home.
I think this week the Panthers get back into the win column. They seem to be a favorable pick for the upset over the Falcons and I think that the defense finally gets a grip and is able to get the offense a chance to win.
As far as the Tampa Bay game, I think the Saints keep rolling against the Bucs. Drew Brees looks unstoppable this year especially on third down and I just don’t think the Bucs have enough fire power to stay with the Saints.
