Week 8 Fantasy Round-Up

facebooktwitterreddit

Another Sunday, another round of Fantasy Football.

Last week took me by surprise: Steven Jackson was the leading scorer, and Miles Austin and Dez Bryant amassed a whopping 6 cumulative points. There are a couple of favorable games, and there should be some huge points put up. Tebow can keep Tebowing, but he will never be successful in the NFL, as a QB. Tebow’s throwing motion will be his downfall, so I guess that means I don’t like him. Tebow won’t look pretty in the process but he will put up decent numbers. Check back after the break for the usual round-up of players.

LOVE

Matt Ryan QB ATL
Indy is 22nd in the league against the pass, and Julio Jones is back in the line-up. Look for Matty Ice to have a decent game, putting up about 15-25 points. I would be more specific but with Ryan you can’t be. He’s going to have a good game, regardless, but we just don’t know how good of a game.

Michael Vick QB PHI
The Bears rank a measly 28th against the pass this season. And if last week was a hint of Vick’s true potential, he is going to light it up for 350 in the air and about 100 on the ground. Ok so I may have exaggerated, but not many QBs will put up better numbers.

Brandon Lloyd WR STL
Not much needs to be said when you’re playing Arizona.

Cincinnati Bengals D/ST
See Tenn. Titans and CJ2.8(His yards per carry).

HATE

Joe Flacco QB BAL
Ailing Flacco meets a revitalized Pitt D/ST. This romantic encounter will end badly for Flacco.

Stevie Johnson WR BUF
Johnson takes a trip to Revis Island this week.

Knowshon Moreno RB DEN
The ball is Tebow’s hands, and he’s holding onto to it to pass or run. Plus, I just don’t think Moreno is that good of a RB.

Chicago Bears D/ST
I buying Mike Vick all day long!!!!!

SLEEPERS
I haven’t been doing a sleeper column lately, but I’m going back now. There are a few players this week that have the ability to put up huge numbers

Pierre Thomas RB NO
Thomas could have a huge game. TB has been terrible against the run lately, and Thomas is a solid runner. Yes, New Orleans is a pass first team. Yes, Darren Sproles is on the team, but Thomas is the best runner on that team. He could easily rush for 90-120 yards and a TD against Tampa.

Kevin Kolb QB ARI
Of course this is all dependent on him playing. If he plays, he is at home against a terrible Rams secondary. Kolb could easily throw for 300+ and 2-3 TDs, with a limited number of picks. If your screwed at QB right now, and if Kolb starts, I would start him.
