Fantasy Update: Week 10

facebooktwitterreddit

Okay so Week 10 is here and of course you’re asking: who should i start?

I’ve come to the point where I’ve said that too often. But, game time is not too far away and last minute fantasy advice is always helpful. This week we have some interesting match-ups that should produce some big numbers. Tebow put up amazing numbers last week, and I told you it wasn’t going to be pretty. Frank Gore struggled to put up big numbers last week, but he’s going up against the Giants this week. So, check back after the break for an extended look at the players for this week.

Players I Love

Michael Vick QB Eagles
Vick has struggled to put of consistent numbers this year, but expect a break out game this week. If he can’t do it this week against the Cardinals, then he won’t do it for the rest of the year.

DeMarco Murray RB Cowboys
The Bills are allowing 4.6 yards per carry, and Murrayy is a one man wrecking crew. Mix that with the fact that Miles Austin is hurt, and Murray is destined to tear the Bills apart.

Anquan Boldin WR Ravens
The Seahawks are absolutely terrible against the pass, and Boldin is emerging as an amazing receiver.

Greg Olsen TE Panthers
The Titans are one of the best teams against the deep ball, so expect Newton to look for Olsen when Steve Smith runs deep.

Jaguars D/ST
Available in about 95% of leagues, and they are playing against the absolutely terrible Colts offense.

Players I Hate

Ryan Fitzpatrick QB Bills
In deeper leagues he is always an option, but Fitz has yet to put up outstanding numbers since he received his contract extension. Plus, the Cowboys aren’t bad against the pass.

DeAngelo Williams RB Panthers
He runs the ball for a team that is quickly becoming a pass first team, and his name isn’t Cam Newton.

A.J. Green WR Bengals
He’s been outstanding all year, but the Bengals haven’t played a team like the Steelers. He is still an option in deeper leagues, but if you have another option I’d take that.

Vernon Davis TE 49ers
He has a total of about 4 fantasy points in the past 3 weeks, and the Giants are very good at keep the TE covered.

Minnesota D/ST
I expect Aaron Rodgers and Ryan Grant to pick this defense apart. There is no stopping Green Bay, and the Vikings haven’t done well against half-decent teams.

Player I want to Start

Steve Smith WR Panthers
I want to start Steve so bad, but the Titans are great against the deep ball. Smith has had so much upside this year, but this one is hard pick. He is a must start in deeper leagues (14-20 teams), but for the smaller leagues, I think you can find a better option.

Players I want to Sit

Mike Wallace WR Steelers
Antonio Brown is rapidly becoming Big Ben’s go to guy. Had Wallace not jumped in front of Brown in the end-zone, he would have been held to about 8 points. Wallace has tremendous upside, and some could claim he is the fastest receiver out there, but the Bengals’ defense is also pretty good. I’m going to avoid Wallace this week, though many will say he is a must start.

Well, that’s it for this week. I covered a few more players than I normally do. Remember you can comment here or ask questions on Twitter @CatCraveSlate. Thanks for reading, and have a great day.
