Cat Crave Mock Draft 1.0
By Josh Adler
28. Carolina Panthers: Allen Robinson, WR, Penn State
D: Everyone knows Carolina Panthers GM David Gettleman loves his “Hog Mollies” and could jump at the chance to get a tackle, but the organization is beginning to feel a little public pressure to get some sizzle going in the passing game. There’s a valid case to be made for either direction, but Cam Newton is going to be as happy as anyone. Robinson and Jordan Matthews are the only two receivers I can logically see going here. Robinson lacks “elite” downfield speed, but has good size at 6’3″ 210 lbs and can do pretty much whatever he would be asked to do. He’s a nice leaper so he has the potential to play even bigger than he is. Very physical receiver that would fit the Panthers’ offensive scheme extremely well.
