Philly Brown’s first game as a starter was going great, until the fumble that buried the Panthers on Sunday night.  Brown looked great earlier filling in for Jerricho Cotchery.

Grades for the Panthers 37-19 loss to the Steelers last night.  The offense looked pretty rough, as Carolina could just never get things going all night.

Carolina was out of sync all night on both sides of the ball in their loss to Pittsburgh.  A stout defense known for stopping the run had no answers for the Steelers’ backfield.

The Panthers really need to figure out how to get their running game going, because without it, their offense is thin.  The Stewart-Tolbert duo is not going to cut it this year for the Panthers and Ron Rivera needs a healthy DeAngelo Williams.

Cam Newton is taking a lot of the blame for the loss and shouldering a good chunk of the blame in their loss.  He had a rough night, but is owning the setback like a good captain does.

Cam knows that the Panthers fell short against the Steelers and praised Pittsburgh’s game plan.  Carolina has a lot to look at in the video room over the next few days as they prepare for the Ravens.
