New Orleans Saints and not Carolina Panthers? No way

Question: What offensive factors gave the Saints the edge over the other teams in the division?
Answer: The NFC South’s best offensive coach in Sean Payton, the best quarterback in Drew Brees, the best running back in Mark Ingram, and the best run blocking from the offensive line.
Rebuttal: Not a chance I agree here. First, if Sean Payton is the best offensive coach in the division, what about defense. If the coach is going to be able to call plays for your team that puts up 40 points a game, but your defense is not able to hold the opposing team’s offense to anything less than 45 points a game, every game becomes a shootout. What are the chances you win 9, 10, 11 games in shootout’s? Second, Brees being the best quarterback? Brees is not getting any younger, he is not able to run the ball if he gets in trouble and if he is the best quarterback in the division, why have the Saints not won the NFC South since 2011? Lastly, if Ingram is the best running back, Lake must have forgot to look at Jonathan Stewart’s stats at the end of last year. Now that Stewart is the featured back, this only increases his ability to put up greater numbers. Oh yeah, almost forgot about blocking from the offensive line, wouldn’t you say that is a wash with each team in the division? Each is not the best.

Question: Who will have the most impact for the Saints in 2015?
Answer: Brees. Seven straight trips to the Pro Bowl, and the most passing yards in the NFL
Rebuttal: Again, Brees is not getting any younger. Also, did Lake forget Brees no longer has a guy named Graham? Brees will put up stats for sure and just like Cam he is important to the team, but someone around Brees has to step up. Considering Brees is not a running quarterback, he is not able to do everything with his arm.
So after reading this, remind me again why the Saints are the pick?
