Going into the Sunday night game, which will be nationally televised on NBC, the Carolina Panthers bring a 5-0 record, while the Philadelphia Eagles come in as a .500 team, at 3-3. There is no doubt Bank of America Stadium will be rocking, as this is rare for the Panthers to be on the national stage.
But it is time the Panthers are finally getting recognition.
Yes, we know the schedule was put out way before the Panthers started 5-0, but plenty will be talked about regarding how the Panthers got this way.
Nobody expected the Panthers to be the undefeated team coming in, as a matter of fact, you could make the argument the Eagles would have been the team coming in undefeated.

However, the Eagles have been inconsistent to say the least this season. They started out losing their first two games – two games in which the offense looked like lost little puppies on the field – then won their next game, only to lose in the fourth week of the year.
Now, the Eagles have won two in a row and are coming off of a thrashing of the New York Giants on Monday night.
So do the Panthers need to be concerned? Well, if you look at the game versus the Giants, the offense was not clicking on all cylinders even though they won big.
Sam Bradford did not show any true signs of being able to come out and put up numbers consistent enough – he threw three interceptions and had a QBR of 61%. Those numbers are not going to make Luke Kuechly and the rest of the defense lose sleep this week.
However, DeMarco Murray might have been woke up from a long winter’s nap. Murray ran for 109 yards and one touchdown versus the Giants, his best game in an Eagles uniform.

Do the Panthers need to worry about him in the run game?
All the Panthers need to do is continue to play stellar defense and stick to the game plan and they should be fine on Sunday.
