Question: Who is the offensive weapon for the Falcons that will be the biggest threat for the Panthers?
Answer: Outside of Jones, it has to be Devonta Freeman. He burst out of nowhere in Week 3 and dominated on the ground. Due to the sputtering passing game, defenses have focused more and more attention to stopping the run which has hurt Freeman’s production, but he is still an excellent player capable of breaking out on a big run.
Freeman is versatile and sees plenty of the football, either on the ground or threw the air. The Falcons will need to get him going to have a chance.
Rebuttal: If the Panthers focus on the run game of the Falcons since Ryan has struggled in the pass game, look for Freeman to be limited though. Shades of the Redskins and Cowboys games could come into play, as total the Panthers gave up less than 100 yards rushing combined from those two games.
