Merry Christmas – Panthers say ho-ho-ho
What does the word “Christmas” mean to the Carolina Panthers
Today is a day of family time, Christmas, in which Santa Claus brings present, eggnog is drunk as a family gathering occurs opening presents under the tree.
Well, this has been a very good year for the Carolina Panthers so far, a year that nobody except those inside the locker room thought was even possible when training camp started.
Injuries and scuffles in training camp made it appear as if this could be a long season for the Carolina Panthers, yet somehow the Panthers have prevailed and appear to be on a run that could lead them to their second Super Bowl in franchise history.
So on this special family day, what does each letter of “Christmas” stand for with the Carolina Panthers this season.

Starting with “C”, this is an obvious one. “C” stands for “Carolina” – as in the Panthers and the excitement the Panthers have brought to the fan base this season.
“H” stands for “home” as in the Panthers have made the fans feel at home this season, even more over past seasons as the true team unity makes the stadium on game day become one big family.
“R” stands for “running” game, where Jonathan Stewart has become the featured back and has embraced

the opportunity with a career high in carries.
“I” stands for “incredible” as in the Panthers have had some incredible stops and plays this season to remain undefeated (Josh Norman’s key plays at the right time for example).
“S” stands for “secondary” as in the play of the secondary with the additions of Kurt Coleman and Charles Tillman, and Josh Norman coming into his own as an All-Pro.
“T” stands for “Thomas” Davis, who as the reigning Walter Payton Man of the Year is having another great year and was just voted to his first Pro Bowl.
“M” stands for “MVP,” which is what Cam Newton should be this season leading the Panthers to the undefeated record.
“A” stands for “anomaly” where the Panthers were given little to no shot to be where they are at and have taken the league by storm. Most call their play an anomaly, but the Panthers are here to stay.
“S” stands for “Super” Bowl – where the Panthers are looking to get to this season as the main goal.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good day.
