The Carolina Panthers are favorites to win Super Bowl 50 over the Denver Broncos. Carolina is laying 5.5 points in the game, according to OddsShark.

Considering that this is a neutral site game, that is a large line. The home team typically gets three points to start, meaning Carolina would be a whopping nine-point favorite at home, and a three-point favorite at Denver. Considering that Carolina was only favored by three points in both of their NFC playoff games, this shows how much Vegas thinks of the Broncos.

Denver is a team that has a great defense, led by Von Miller, Chris Harris and Derek Wolfe. However, the offense is awful. Gary Kubiak has tried to install his run-first scheme that calls for zone blocking and a ton of stretch runs, but his line is terrible and the backs are not good enough to hit the hole. The Broncos have to hope that receivers Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas, along with veteran tight end Owen Daniels, can get open against Carolina.

It will be interesting to see if the Broncos can score enough to topple the Panthers, who should find the end zone once or twice with Cam Newton. Newton is the ultimate weapon in the pocket, causing chaos even when the defense has played him perfectly.
