Week 1: at San Francisco

For the ninth time in 11 seasons, the Carolina Panthers will be opening their season on the road. Unlike last year when the Panthers were facing the defending the Super Bowl Champions, Denver Broncos, they take on a rebuilding 49ers team.

This won’t be the same 49ers team that the Panthers beat 46-27 in Week 2 last year. However, they should be fairly familiar with this offense as Kyle Shanahan took over as head coach this offseason. Shanahan previously was offensive coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons the past two years.

Result: Win (1-0)
