Panthers Final Full 7-Round Mock Draft
Round 1, Pick 8
Christian McCaffrey, RB-Stanford
Carolina Panthers
McCaffrey solves many problems for the Panthers, beginning with a future replacement to Jonathan Stewart. He gives Carolina a threat in the slot and a proven return man. McCaffrey broke Barry Sanders single season record for all-purpose yardage with an incredible 2664 yards in one season during 2015. Sanders was no fluke and McCaffrey will not be one either.
Shannon Sharpe recently mentioned that if McCaffrey was black he would be a top-10 pick and that might be true. Either way, McCaffrey can provide the perfect weapon to “evolve” the offense.
Some experts such as Ladainian Tomlinson believe his best fit is with the Panthers. He is a better version of Alvin Kamara, who we previously had the Panthers taking in the second round of our post NFL combine mock draft. McCaffrey can be a three down running back and will benefit from having one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL with Cam Newton.

Other Scenarios:
Leonard Fournette- If the Jacksonville Jaguars pass on Fournette and he falls to the Panthers at pick No. 8, Carolina will choose him over McCaffrey without hesitation. Probability of 25-percent.
Jamal Adams Remains WOW Scenario- In this scenario Adams falls all the way to eight and team officials break into their happy dance while turning in their selection for the future All-Pro. Probability of 15-percent.
Team Really Loves O.J. Howard Scenario- It could be the case that the Panthers really love O.J. Howard and believe he is the future replacement for tight end, Greg Olsen. Many people have compared Howard to Olsen and Carolina needs to run two tight end sets more often. Probability of 20-percent.
