Round 5, Pick 152

Mack Hollins, WR-UNC

The only thing that stopped Hollins from being a second day player during the draft is an injury he suffered during the 2016 season, stopping him from having the breakout year many predicted. Hollins will be a steal for whoever is lucky enough to land him. Though the Panthers might not currently be linked to him, Hollins fits exactly what they need on the outside. He is a vertical threat with great size at 6-foot-4 and could eventually become a number two option if he lives up to his potential.

2016 Stats:

Receptions: 16

Receiving Yards: 309

Average Yards Per Catch: 19.3

Touchdowns: 4

NFL Comparison:

Alshon Jeffery

Other Scenarios:

The Panthers Like Ryan Switzer Instead Scenario- The team could have their eyes on fellow North Carolina receiver, Switzer, instead of Hollins. It is likely the team likes both but circumstances may make Hollins a better fit after the team selected McCaffrey in the first round. Probability of 45-percent.
