Round 7, Pick 233

Jadar Johnson, S-Clemson

The Panthers need to add more depth at safety and Johnson comes from a winning team with a great defense. He will probably struggle to make the roster, but stands a better chance than most other players projected to be selected in the seventh round due to the position he plays. This is a depth pick – nothing more, nothing less.

2016 Stats:

Tackles: 41

Interceptions: 5

Other Scenarios:

A Mid-Round Player Slips To The Seventh Round Scenario- There is always the possibility that a player the Panthers project as a mid-round talent could slip to the seventh round and if that happens they will obviously select that player. It is unlikely, but has happened in the past. Probability of 15-percent.
