Grading the Panthers defense at Tennessee

Linebacker: C+

After the return of Kuechly to the starting lineup, he was withheld from action in Tennessee with rib soreness. Again, Mayo stepped in and performed admirably leading the Panthers with 10 tackles, including one for a loss.

While the starting unit gave up a lot of points they were limited to a short field on three occasions and failed to keep the Titans out of the end zone. Further, Tennessee was allowed to take the opening kickoff down the field for an easy three-points.

Tackling was an issue throughout the defense, but at what should be the strongest tackling position, Jeremy Cash struggled.
