The Carolina Panthers need to score points if they want to compete with the Patriots high powered offense and will need big games from these three players.

The beginning of the 2017 season has been a disappointment for the Carolina Panthers’ offense. The Panthers rank near the bottom of the league in points (29th) and passing yards (30th) but have found some success on the ground ranking 13th in rushing yards.

The talk this offseason was about evolving the Panthers offense but against the Patriots, the coaching staff needs to get back to what they do best if they want to have a chance of winning this game. Offensive coordinator Mike Shula has to establish the run on Sunday to control the clock and keep the Patriots’ best weapon, Tom Brady, on the sideline.

However, this gameplan only works if the offense can finish drives with touchdowns, which they have struggled to do with only three on the year. These are three key players on the Panthers offense that can help Cam Newton get this group back on track against the Patriots.
