Curtis Samuel

If the Panthers want to hit these big chunk plays, there won’t be a better weapon than Curtis Samuel. The second round draft pick has incredible speed and can pick up yards in bunches.

He showed this speed off against the Saints on an end around when he picked up 31 yards, which is the Panthers longest play on the ground this year.

These are the type of plays Mike Shula needs to call for Samuel. The threat of misdirection with Samuel could help open running lanes for Stewart or if defenses key on the running back, give the rookie room to work on the outside. Samuel can also be a weapon on play action with his speed to get over the top of defenses.

This is a game that the Panthers should really utilize Curtis Samuel and he should have a breakout game against the Patriots.
