Kelvin Benjamin

The biggest weakness of the Panthers’ offense though has been in the redzone. According to TeamRankings.com, the Panthers currently rank 31st in red zone TD scoring, converting on only 25% of their trips.

The news doesn’t get much better for this offense either as they lost one of their best red zone weapons in tight end Greg Olsen. This is an area wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin must become a force.

At 6’5″ and 245 pounds, Benjamin almost always has a size advantage over opposing cornerbacks. This will be the case against the Patriots as their top two cornerbacks, Stephon Gilmore and Malcom Butler, are 6’1″ and 5’11” respectively.

The Panthers should take advantage of this size difference and as they approach the goal line allow Benjamin to go up and get these touchdowns. This is a game where Benjamin should see plenty of red zone targets and if he can capitalize, the Panthers should stay in this game.
