Panthers expert picks for Week 4
National media picks for the Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots, Week 4 matchup…
The Carolina Panthers home loss to New Orleans last week has everyone doubting their capabilities, even after winning the first two games of the season. Couple that loss with a road game against the defending Super Bowl champions and it’s hard to find many positives entering this week.
For these reasons, finding anyone with confidence to select Carolina outside of the Panthers locker room is a difficult task. Around the media world, an overwhelming majority of picks are being made for New England not just to win, but dominate the Panthers.
Following is a look at some predictions for the upcoming game in Foxborough.
CBS Sports – New England Patriots
Each of the eight pundits polled selected New England to win at home. Of the 16 games to pick from only six were unanimous choices: Packers, Falcons, Cardinals, Seahawks and Chiefs in addition to the Patriots.
ESPN – New England Patriots
ESPN had 10 analyst make a selection and the results were again identical. Everyone expects New England and Tom Brady to win against a Panthers team currently surrounded with questions on both sides of the football.

To say Carolina is an underdog this week is blatantly evident but a win would help to ease the uncertainty about how good the Panthers could be this season. The fact rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson went toe-to-toe with the Patriots last week in Foxborough provides some optimism for the Panthers.
