Running Back: B

Stewart became the franchise leading rusher after gathering 68-yards against the Patriots defense. The veteran running back for Carolina did fumble on a drive to open the second half but responded with 42 of his yards following the turnover.

Rookie Christian McCaffrey added 16 yards on the ground with just six carries but was again effective in the passing game. Newton targeted McCaffrey six times as the rookie added 33 yards through the air.

His biggest impact came without the football as backfield motion caused the Patriots to double cover McCaffrey, freeing up running back Fozzy Whittaker for a 28-yard touchdown strike about midway through the second quarter.
