with the Buffalo Bills and besides a brief return in Week 7 against the Chicago Bears has not seen the field since.
The Panthers do have their bye coming up next week and the hope would be that with the extra rest Kalil could return for Week 12 against the New York Jets.
The good news though is that Kalil was the only player ruled out for the Panthers in Week 10. The team did have three players in the concussion protocol, including starting safety Mike Adams, however all three were cleared.
This will be a good boost for the defense that hopes to remain at the top of the league in yards allowed per game.
The extra day of rest this week and the bye week next week should give this team plenty of time to really get healthy heading into the final stretch of the 2017 season. The Panthers have had a number of players deal with nagging injuries throughout the year, like Cam Newton’s surgically repaired shoulder, and rest should help.
