NFL Power Rankings: Panthers at a standstill

CBS Sports NFL expert Pete Prisco also failed to move Carolina in his latest rankings, though they do rank near the top of the league. Two wins complete during three straight home games, the Panthers can clinch a playoff berth with their third straight.

"They are getting it going at the right time. Cam Newton looked like the Newton of 2015 against the Packers."

Newton was inconsistent early but showed flashes of the brilliant quarterback Panthers fans have come to expect. Against Green Bay he ran the football 14 times, his most since opening week of the 2015 season and threw four touchdown passes. A lethal combination.
