Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart will compete on the CBS show Most Valuable Performer…

Jonathan Stewart was drafted eighth overall in the 2008 NFL Draft and has spent his entire career with the Carolina Panthers. The leading rusher in franchise history, Stewart has accumulated numerous accolades on the field.

However, his talents extend beyond running the football and the world will get to witness first-hand another side of Stewart tonight. The “Most Valuable Performer – MVP” is a live interactive show that features six NFL stars showcasing talents other than football and a vote to determine the best among them.

Stewart will be playing piano, something Panthers fans have caught bits and pieces of in the past. The running back trio of rookie Christian McCaffrey, Fozzy Whittaker and Stewart performed “Lean on Me” for a deserving Panthers fan at one point this season and both he and McCaffrey teased another duet.

The CBS show will feature a celebrity panel of judges including: Katharine McPhee, Maz Jobrani, and New York Giants wide receiver Brandon Marshall. The group will narrow all six finalist down to three before a live fan vote takes place. Additionally, each of the six NFL stars will be mentored by Sharon Osbourne on performing their off the field talents as host, LL COOL J keeps things moving.

Stewart is up against a host of Baltimore Ravens including defensive tackle Brandon Williams, kicker Justin Tucker and running back Alex Collins. Each will be singing, opera singing and Irish dancing, respectively.

Other contestants include Cleveland Browns guard Kevin Zeitler performing dog tricks with his four legged friends and Denver Broncos nose tackle Domata Peko playing guitar. Each a unique talent and a side fans typically don’t get to see from some of their favorite players.
