Three Carolina Panthers players are preparing for the Pro Bowl in Orlando…

Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis, guard Trai Turner and kicker Graham Gano are all in Orlando for the upcoming Pro Bowl game. A yearly tradition and all-star game of sorts for the NFL, the league selects the best of the best for one game providing fans an opportunity to see numerous top players in action on the same field.

From a players perspective, no one wants to play in the Pro Bowl but not due to the addition of a meaningless game at the conclusion of the season. Players don’t want to participate because if their respective teams are competing in the Super Bowl, then they become ineligible. Thus, no members of either the New England Patriots or Philadelphia Eagles are present this year.

Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly was also originally elected to participate but an injury has him sidelined this season as well. In opposite fashion, Davis entered as an injury replacement and appears to be enjoying his time in Florida with individuals from around the league and his Panthers teammates.

Davis even reconnected with Green Bay wide receiver Davante Adams and apologized again for his hit against him in their game earlier this season. Davis laid a blindside block on Adams during an interception return and initially received a two game suspension that was later reduced to one.

The Panthers captain also was named to the same role for his NFC team in the Pro Bowl. He offered the following comments to the official team website about the designation.

"“It’s definitely an honor to be announced as a captain for the Pro Bowl. There are so many great players. This is the best of the best. To be recognized as a captain amongst this group is definitely an honor.”"

Gano is also enjoying time with his family in Orlando and recently celebrated by winning the first-ever Kick-Tac-Toe skills challenge. Going head-to-head with Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell, Gano won the event for his NFC teammates.
