The Carolina Panthers are getting a new owner for the first time in franchise history and these immediate actions will help the transition…

Carolina Panthers founder and owner Jerry Richardson announced his intentions of selling the franchise amid workplace misconduct allegations late in the regular season. Expected to not field any offers until the offseason, the Panthers will soon be under new ownership.

The transfer of control brings a cloud of uncertainty for the organization and future of the team, both immediate and long-term. Coach Ron Rivera had his contract extended and the team is moving forward to hire a full time general manager despite their current lack in ownership.

Tina Becker has taken the reigns of the organization on a day-to-day basis as Richardson and the NFL field offers while a new owner is found. Once in place, there are a number of areas requiring immediate attention but a quick adherence to the following could help ease the burden and remove some questions both Panthers fans and players have about their future.

Following is a look at these five focal areas for whoever assumes control of the Carolina Panthers.
