Training Camp

The Panthers ties to Richardson’s alma mater, Wofford, for training camp is another thing to consider. Carolina has always ventured south of the border for their preseason preparation in Spartanburg, bringing in fan support and linking both the Carolinas to one team.

While the reasons for beginning camp at Wofford will be extinguished with Richardson’s relinquishing control of the team, the tradition should move forward. Free admission to watch the team prepare for another season in a complex suitable to the franchise is a win-win situation.

Instead of having to fund additional projects to add facilities at another location or moving all activities to the stadium, a long running history between the two entities should continue and would be in the best interest of new ownership.
