Five quarterbacks the Carolina Panthers could be targeting in the 2018 NFL Draft…

The Carolina Panthers recently removed the interim title from Marty Hurney as he proceeds in the role of general manager for the foreseeable future. Given the current roster is veteran heavy with some serious contributors, finding young talent to fill the void when they retire will be one of the most important issues for Hurney to target.

Likewise, finding a serviceable backup quarterback who could potentially succeed Cam Newton will also be a focus. Current backup Derek Anderson is a former NFL starter and has provided a security blanket over the past few seasons but is a free agent and may not return to the Panthers sideline next season.

While a veteran willing to serve in his capacity is promising, Carolina also needs to think about the future. Even if Anderson returns it is likely that the Panthers take a chance on a late round quarterback prospect which could potentially take over at some point.

Continue to view a few of the quarterback options who could be on the Panthers radar as the NFL Draft approaches.
