With the draft coming up tonight, Cat Crave presents its final full mock draft…

Round 1, 24th overall: Jaire Alexander, Louisville cornerback

With Marty Hurney making a point not to reach, Jaire Alexander will likely be a good value pick at 24th overall. The Panther met privately with Alexander, and cornerback is an area of need as well. Alexander would likely be expected to start opposite James Bradberry if drafted by the Panthers.

Alexander is ranked as the second-best cornerback in the draft by WalterFootball.com, and his value has recently been steadily rising after an excellent combine. He had a bit of a down year in 2017, with 19 total tackles, four passes defended, and one interception. In 2016, Alexander had a stellar 39 total tackles, nine passes defended, and five interceptions. Jaire Alexander would be an excellent investment and likely an impact player for the Panthers if called at 24th overall.
