Cornerback Donte Jackson will wear No. 26. This is a slight change-up from the No 1 he wore while a member of the LSU Tigers. The last Carolina Panther to wear the number 26 was cornerback Daryl Worley.
No. 28 is going to safety Rashaan Gaulden. This number in particular may seem familiar to Panthers fans as running back Jonathan Stewart wore it during his entire tenure with the team. Gaulden wore No. 7 as a member of the Tennessee Vols while in college.
Tight end Ian Thomas will be bestowed with the No. 80. This number has been worn by the likes of Jeremy Shockey, who wore it during the 2011 campaign with the Panthers and wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett who played three seasons with the team from 2007-10.
Defensive end Marquis Haynes will wear No. 98 with the Panthers. Star Lotulelei was the previous wearer of the number during his time with the team. Haynes wore Nos. 10 and 38 during his tenure at Ole Miss.
Linebacker Jermaine Carter will don the number 56 with the Panthers. Linebacker A.J. Klein, who played from 2013-2016 and linebacker Jason Kyle whose tenure with the team lasted from 2001-08 were the last members of the team to wear the number.
Linebacker Andre Smith will wear No. 57, which was most recently given to linebacker Jeremy Cash, whose tenure with the Panthers occurred from 2016-17.
Last but not least, Defensive tackle Kendrick Norton will wear No. 74. Offensive tackle Mike Remmers was the most recent Panther to wear the number, doing so from 2014-16.
