The Carolina Panthers veteran seems to be on board with Tepper’s vision..

Count safety Mike Adams as a member of the Carolina Panthers who is on board with new owner David Tepper. Stephen Igoe of 247Sports wrote a piece Saturday that recounted Adams’ comments about his conversation with Tepper to the Charlotte Observer.

"“It went great. Rarely do you see an owner come in and want to rush from the owners meeting and just conversate with the guys,” veteran safety Mike Adams told the Charlotte Observer this week. “Just talk about everything, us as a team.“The one thing I took away from it, the one thing I like about him is he’s got that fire and he wants to win. Not taking away from Richardson, but he’s fired up. He’s happy.”"

As someone who has been in football locker rooms and been a part of a football team, this is great to hear. When veteran leaders of the team buy into what the higher-ups are doing, the younger guys generally buy in too.

It makes life easier both on and off the field knowing that the majority of the team is on the same page. Knowing that the higher-ups are behind you every step of the way and that they really enjoy what they are doing makes life much easier.

It is good to hear this come out of the mouth of someone like Adams. As someone who probably appreciates stability as a veteran, the fact he is accepting change is good.

With that being said, it was reported that wide receiver Torrey Smith was not among the veterans who met with Tepper. The reasons are unknown and I do not want to speculate of course, but he certainly has a right to his opinion.

Tepper’s enthusiasm seems to be infectious and he seems like he is ready to do what is best for the team. Judging by what we have seen so far, he seems hands on and ready to take on anything that comes his way. We can only hope the team continues to live by those characteristics.
