Damiere Byrd, WR

Damiere Byrd didn’t finish his season as the Panthers most experienced return man but he was arguably the most successful. Averaging 32.7 yards on seven returns, Byrd benefited from a 103-yard return for a touchdown against Tampa Bay late in the season.

Like Samuel, Byrd saw a rise in his production late in the year but was hampered by various injuries throughout the season. A two touchdown receiving effort came against Green Bay in Week 15 but he too remains among a competitive group now at his position.

A solid preseason on special teams could win him another opportunity.
