Dallas Cowboys

This game is number one on the list for many reasons. For starters, this is the Carolina Panthers first home opener since 2013. You can bet Panthers fans will be ready for this one as their beloved troop faces off against “America’s Team.”

The Panthers and Cowboys have meet a total of 13 games with the Cowboys holding a 9-4 series lead. The las time these two teams met was on Thanksgiving 2015. The swarming Panthers defense was too much for the Cowboy offense as Carolina rolled to a 33-14 victory. Luke Kuechly had two picks in that game while Kurt Coleman had one.

This matchup is intriguing to me for many reasons. For one, it features two of the best running backs in the National Football League in Ezekiel Elliott and Christian McCaffrey. Those two should be able to put on a show and provide fans with a great matchup.

One of the things to watch out for just as a football fan is how Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott will fair against the Carolina defense. He struggled last season and my guess is he would love to turn the page. The Panther defense should see a heavy dose of Elliott in this game.
