Funchess will catch at least 10 touchdowns

This is my top bold prediction because of the amount of weapons that Cam Newton has at his disposal. With that aforementioned vertical threat, Funchess will have on opportunity to score touchdowns often. Kelvin Benjamin was a major producer of touchdown catches during his career in Carolina, and now Funchess looks to take on that role.

In the 2017 season, Funchess caught eight passes in the red zone, being targeted 15 times. Four of those passes were caught for touchdowns. His longest play in the red zone was an 18-yard pass against the Minnesota Vikings on December 10.

Due to the explosiveness of the Carolina Panthers offense, that number should go up. His eight touchdowns last year were ranked eighth in the National Football League. That put him ahead of wideouts such as A.J. Green, Rob Gronkowski, and Travis Kelce.

My guess here is that Funchess will catch five red zone touchdowns and five will reach paydirt via a big play at the very least. He has shown he has playmaking capability and this is the year he will truly break out.
