Olsen will record at least 10 touchdowns

This is a feat Olsen has never done. It is hard to believe given the fact that he has been one of the most prolific tight ends in the National Football League, but it’s true. Under Norv Turner, he will finally accomplish the feat in 2018.

The closest he came to doing so was in 2009 with the Chicago Bears. That year, he recorded eight touchdowns on 60 catches and amassed 612 yards. If there is one positive to take from this, it is the fact he recorded at least five touchdowns every season from 2008-2015. During his time with the Carolina Panthers, he has recorded two consecutive seasons of six touchdowns (2014 and 2015.)

The potential for 10 is there and it is certainly an achievable goal. Particularly in the red zone where space is tight, the Carolina Panthers top wideouts will be put on lockdown by the opposition’s top defenders. That will give Olsen the opportunity to get chances in the red zone on throws that will have to be fairly accurate and quick.

I believe he will hit the ten-touchdown mark exactly as even with all the weapons, he will still be a focal point of the offense.
