Contract Issues

Two key offensive players enter camp in contract years and neither has been signed for the long-term – yet. Both wide receiver Devin Funchess and offensive tackle, Daryl Williams are each looking at significant pay increases should they have productive seasons this year.

Each is anticipated to be a part of the big picture for Carolina but depending on how the future of other veterans on the roster pans out, the money available could be limited. Kalil, Davis, Adams and Julius Peppers, in addition to new running back C.J. Anderson will all need fresh deals should they return for one or more seasons.
