2018 NFL Draft - Carolina Panthers
ARLINGTON, TX – APRIL 26: A video board displays an image of D.J. Moore of Maryland after he was picked #24 overall by the Carolina Panthers during the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft at AT&T Stadium on April 26, 2018 in Arlington, Texas. (Photo by Tom Pennington/Getty Images) /

Wide Receiver

Rookie wide receiver D.J. Moore was added in the spring as the first player from his position taken in the NFL Draft. Carolina literally had their pick of the litter and decided upon the University of Maryland product.

However, he wasn’t included with the first-team wide receivers as veteran newcomers Torrey Smith and Jarius Wright lined up with Devin Funchess on offense. Even as a first-round selection, it appears coach Ron Rivera is going to make Moore earn his position and that’s a good thing.
