Don’t Forget About: LaDarius Gunter, CB

LaDarius Gunter was signed by the Carolina Panthers to a one-year contract back in March and with the flurry of offseason moves and the depth on defense, this was a signing that could go under the radar.

His numbers will not light the world on fire. He has played three seasons in the National Football League (two with Green Bay and one with Carolina.)  The best season of his career came with the Packers in 2016. That year, he recorded 13 tackles and two pass deflections in only three games played, all of which he started.

Currently, he is ranked No. 4 at the left cornerback position per the most recent depth chart from OurLads.com. With how deep the position is, he will have to work for playing time. Even still, he could be a very valuable contributor as his experience will be welcome in the secondary.
