The Carolina Panthers 2018 season officially begins with preseason game number one this week…

After enduring an offseason filled with change, no one quite knows what to expect from this year’s edition of the Carolina Panthers. Despite the uncertainty, one thing is already clear judging from just a few training camp practices – this team is talented and athletic.

Both on paper and in person, the dynamic skill sets offered by many on the offensive side of the football are impressive. Beginning with quarterback Cam Newton, who enters his eighth season with the franchise, the offense should be much more efficient under new coordinator Norv Turner.

Defensively, Carolina may be without the services of starting linebacker Thomas Davis for the first four games of the season, but Shaq Thompson is expected to fill in well in that position. Up front, the Panthers should continue to employ a rotational group of defensive linemen despite operating under another new coordinator in Eric Washington.

Official preseason games begin this week with the Panthers on the road to visit some familiar faces. Continue to see details of this and each preseason game leading up to the regular season home kickoff on September 9 against the Dallas Cowboys.
